An Indiana state trooper was in the right place at the right time to save the life of a truck driver.
Trooper Brian Laroche was off duty Thursday when a semi in front of him ran off the road into a ditch along U.S. 231 in Huntingburg.
Trooper Laroche had an automatic electronic defibrillator in his patrol car and was able to revive the unconscious driver after two shocks.
The truck driver, 56-year-old Larry Evans of Tennessee, suffered a heart attack and is now listed in serious condition at Deaconess Hospital.
